Boomer Lake

Contact Number for information about the lake is 405 747-8070
Boomer Lake is located
in North Stillwater west of Highway 177 (actually off Washington
street) between Lake View and Airport
Road. The lake has 6 miles of shoreline and covers 260 acres
surrounded by beautiful scenery filled with outstanding facilities.
Boomer
Lake is a remarkable place. A shining star for Stillwater
and a facility any city in the world would be very proud to have.
The amazing thing I found about Boomer Lake was that as you explore
the grounds you almost feel as though you have seen it and then
suddenly you turn and there is an amazingly remarkable contrast of
scenery in front of you such as the bridge shown here. I have
been to thousands of places in most of the states of this great
country and although this park is not as remarkable as the Grand
Canyon it certainly will stand out in my memory bank as one GREAT
place to visit. To truly enjoy it you must explore it. I
guess it is the remarkable contrasts in changes of scenery and
surroundings that really grab you, and grab you they do. I
almost feel as though Frank Lloyd Wright designed the park which
would be fitting as you can see OSU (noted for its outstanding
Architectural curriculum) in the background but regardless - it is
one place you should put on your list to visit.
