The Calendar of Events is the most visited Section on the site and reaches more interests than any other Section.  It is designed to expose everyone to ALL that is available.  Your Events are exposed to people of all interests, including those who may be interested in your event but would not otherwise know about it.

Example:  A bicycle rider may also be interested in kite flying and sees there are indeed kite flying events available.  Regardless of main interest such as Hunting & Fishing, most people like music and find the vast number of events available.  Could they find out about them elsewhere?  Yes but will they and how much trouble is it?  Here, they see it and click it, couldn't be easier.  Or they will visit that area of interest with a simple click and find many links to a world of information.

Additional Information:

• A PLAIN listing is FREE and must fit in the one line space provided - very limited information.  Only available if time and space allows, NO guarantee of insertion but we try very hard to get all of listed. (these are similar to what you find in papers, magazines, etc.  Event with few details.

• Email the details of the event HERE we will try to get it listed. Events sent the day before or the day of an event may not get listed due to time.

• List the date, time, place, city, Admission Cost and what the event is about.

• Example: Istvan Gallery (+ address) - Its a Small World by OKC Story Slam - 8m to 11pm - Art Show
  Also provide a contact phone number in case we have questions, these will not be published.

• If FREE Admission (such as No Cover Music event) note it.  We try to show that in RED to attract more.

Really Big Savings with Pre-Paid Multiple Week Plans - For 3 or more events per week.  Weekly plans lock in the cost so you know what it will be.  The current ad rate has a base rate factor of 5.0 - as circulation and/or costs rise, the rate factor will rise but with a weekly plan your rate can not go up until the end of the plan.  A 52 week plan provides the option to renew one time at the same rate.

This site is experiencing very strong growth and will continue to do so because of 14 successful years experience at building web site traffic.  We do not use search engines, we do it the old fashioned way.  Going to events, meeting people, shaking their hand and handing them a business card has proven to be very effective.  Hard and persistent WORK is what generates our REAL traffic - Oklahoma traffic (and/or those outside Oklahoma who come here for events). 

Search engines never attracted our attention.  We don't want traffic from just anywhere, especially from overseas or traffic that was simply redirected to run up numbers.  We want the same thing you do, REAL traffic.  Look on the search engines and you will find "Fun in Oklahoma" in many prominent places but our site is not optimized for search engines.  If we had a general use product that could be used all over the world we would use search engines but this is OKLAHOMA, what you and I care about.

Can we guarantee you will get results?  NO and neither can other media sources.  We DO provide an audience that comes here because they are interested in what is available.  If you have what they are interested in and an effective ad you WILL get results.  If you treat those customers right, they will continue to be customers.

Business Card Special Promotion Program

You provide double sided business cards with your card on one side and the "Fun in Oklahoma" card on the other side.  This is a tremendous opportunity for you.  You provide the card and we get them placed in the hands of prospects for you.  Think about it, a personal one on one contact and placing YOUR information directly into the hand of your future customer.  This is far better than general advertising plus it insures 100% delivery.  This is extremely effective and cost efficient. 

Choose your audience.  You have the ability to choose who we hand your cards to, from the general population to a narrow group such as Concert Goers, Football Fans, etc.  We will only hand your cards to people in the categories YOU select.  If you provide cards and want to target a specific group such as Street Motorcycle Riders we are going to go to Poker Runs, Bike Shows, Bike Nights, etc.  We are going to go and get the customers YOU want. 

We do not hand out all your cards at one event.  That would be the lazy way of doing it and would not produce the most cost effective campaign for you, plus it would require all our time to do it. When we attend an event we meet people, hand them cards and talk to them.  We take pictures, gather information, and get it posted on the site.  It is far more effective to attended multiple events to get exposure for you.  Our cards are kept and used because the site involves those we give the cards to. 

We hand out a lot of cards to people at events.  We need cards all the time so the incentive to make sure your card is given to a person is to be able to get more cards to hand out.  Handing out the cards is critical to us building traffic to our site, we will hand everyone of them to a person, every person we hand one to will also be receiving your card.  Win - Win situation.

All ads require payment in advance.
 
The ads are inserted with code that will automatically delete the ad at 11:59pm on the last paid day of the time period paid for. 

If you want to renew an ad make sure payment is received by us BEFORE that time or extra costs will be incurred.  It takes time to place an ad on the site.  We eat the cost of that time initially but have to pay someone to reinsert it and a fee will be required in addition to the ad fee.  (The time it takes to reset the delete date is minimal so no reinsertion charge would apply if paid in advance.)  Remember, it is based on when the funds are received  - the receiving of funds is what triggers resetting of the delete date.

Ad Fees are NOT refundable but we will work with you on transferring a long term ad to another business, some conditions and restrictions do apply. 

Minimum ad length is 3 months for display ads - Special Ads and Special Event Ads are an exception.  Display ads of less time would be ineffective and a waste of your money.  We want you to have the best opportunity to get results.  Advertising depends on repetition.
