in Oklahoma"
provides you THE place to find WHAT is happening in
Oklahoma, WHEN it is happening, and WHERE it is happening.
This site truly takes grass roots events to the public.
Most Oklahomans have little idea all that is available in this great state, simply because there has not been an
all encompassing
place to find out. Now there is and the site is open 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Much of the information available here will be
links to other great sites and a lot of information is created by us.
There are two important things to
consider:
1 - This your ONE STOP place to get all your Oklahoma
Information. You don't
have to search for and/or jump all over the internet to find what
you want to know. If it is not here, it will be. You can
help - simply contact us with information.
2 - A tremendous amount of information will be produced by this site and
made available to other sites and media in Oklahoma and across the
country.
We reach out to other states around the country in a cooperative
program to provide information in advance to those who will be visiting
our state. This allows them to plan ahead for a more enjoyable
trip. It also provides information to those in other states who
had not previously considered Oklahoma as a destination point to
reconsider as they discover areas of interest to them that are available
here.
Small grass roots organizations have little resources to work with
and advertising in main stream media is an impossibility for them.
This site provides an effective way for them to reach
out to Oklahomans AND many in other states who will be visiting here. It is a stepping stone to main stream media advertising for
those who are able to grow to that point. Exposure which goes far beyond
"Word of Mouth" is being provided for FREE. The ability to capitalize on
that in a very affordable way is available to help businesses, events, and
organizations to grow.
Special Note:
Since the beginning, this site was a part
time effort while I worked full time at Baker Boys Yamaha in OKC. Due to
circumstances beyond anyone's control I had to retire in July, 2010. My
full attention and time will be devoted to building this site into a public
company.
A search is on to recruit a very
high caliber President for the company and to appoint a Board of Directors.
Far ahead of the planned schedule, it is time for this company to expand in a
very big way and it will.
Once fully
organized, "Fun in Oklahoma" will be the most complete SINGLE source of information
about Oklahoma available anywhere in the world. Not just the Fun
part but all kinds of information will be available, right down to the
city and town level.
